During my China shopping spree, I picked up a few Judydoll makeup products. Next up for review is the Judydoll Stay Shine Lipstick – the first China-made lipstick I’ve tried!
If you love moisturising lipsticks with a glossy, glass-like finish, read on!

About Judydoll Stay Shine Lipstick
Judydoll offers at least six different types of lipstick on its official website, from matt to shiny and liquid to clay pen. The one I’m reviewing today – Judydoll Stay Shine Lipstick – is the most luxe-looking and priciest among the range (though still very affordable).Â
One key thing that sets this lipstick apart from other variants could be the inclusion of collagen essence.Â
What does Judydoll Stay Shine Lipstick promise?Â
Judydoll Stay Shine Lipstick promises the following:Â
- Plump, hydrated lips, thanks to the collagen essence
- Long staying colour, locking colours for 12 hours
- Resistant to colour-transfer
- Luminous glow in one swipe, inspired by gemstone hues
Let’s see if each of this claims hold true when I share the pros and cons, coming up next.
What’s good about Judydoll Stay Shine Lipstick?Â
1. Offers a shiny finish
Just one swipe is all it takes to gloss up your lips and create illusion of plumper lips. Your lips will look quite shiny!
So far, the glossy lipsticks I’ve used typically come in a tube. This comes in a stick and is easy to apply.

2. Moisturises for hours
The lip stays moisturised for hours, even when sipping drinks in between.Â
3. Not sticky
Judydoll Stay Shine Lipstick passed the “stickiness” test. It feels comfortable on the lips!
4. Long staying colours
I’m wearing the lipstick while typing this review, and sipping a cup of cappuccino in between. The colour is still there after two hours.
However, do note that the shine is gone.
5. Luxe packagingÂ
The shiny packaging in a rose gold reflective casing looks pretty luxe, as compared to others in the range.Â
Even after a few months of usage, the tube’s shiny exterior is still looking pretty polished.Â

What’s not great about Judydoll lipstick?Â
1. Pigment is lighter than expected
While some website description (e.g. Watsons) mentioned a “vibrant colour payoff”, I found the colour lighter than what I was expecting.Â
I was hoping the colour would be more prominent on my lips. For info, the one I’m wearing is colour #110 (Sunstone Glow).

I’d told the sales assistant that I wanted an orange-tone lipstick. This is how it was supposed to look on the lips, based on marketing photos.Â

And this is how it looked on mine. Maybe I need to get fairer? :)Â
2. Not resistant to colour-transfer
One of the claims was the resistance to colour-transfer. Well, not true based on my experience. My cappuccino cup was full of lipstick marks.Â
3. It’s bulky!
Judydoll Stay Shine Lipstick is “fatter” and longer than most other lipsticks. And we are talking about unnecessary bulk since it holds the industry standard (i.e. 3 grams of lipstick).Â
It may not be a concern unless you are one who likes compact stuff.Â

Is Judydoll Stay Shine Lipstick worth buying?Â
I like how moisturising it is, and how the shine adds volume to my rather thin lips. However, I was hoping that the colour would be richer, or at least closer to how it looks on the product or ad.Â
I do not mind repurchasing if I can find one that looks richer on my lips. You should go to a store and apply it on your lips (with hygiene precaution taken) to see the actual colour before buying too. Rating: 4/5
