Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm | My stable lip product of the moment

Good day, everyone! I’m sharing with you one of the two stable lip products that I use almost on a daily basis. One day a couple of months back, I was shopping at Robinsons and couldn’t help stopping by at the Clinique counter. I really wanted to get the Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm (what a mouthful) but was indecisive on the color.

The friendly male advisor recommended 01 poppin’ poppy and said he was using it too. Well, it sure looked very natural on him, which is what I like for a lip color.

Swatching it on my hand did make me wonder if it was too light as it appeared as a really pale, barely-there orange tone.

With the adviser’s assurance, I decided to just get it. And guess what? This is now one of the two lip products that sits in my bag every single day.

4 Reasons for Loving Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm

1. Colour-Changing Lip Balm

I seldom receive compliments from others on my lip color. And that’s simply because I’m often found in natural-looking and mostly-unnoticeable colors or just plain gloss.

Not after I started using Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm. I received quite a few compliments, from friends to acquaintances, saying that my lip color looked great on me. It was definitely unexpected since 01 poppin’ poppy was supposed to be such a light color.

Then I realized why. The color would change after a few minutes – from light pale orange to pinkish-orange.

It was a lovely color that somehow just made me look healthier and more radiant. The light sheen was a nice finish to give you that soft baby-lip look.

I’ve grabbed a ‘Before’ photo from my archive. The lighting is different but I just want to give you a brief idea of the difference.

Alright, I’ve just found their marketing lines

A bit of colour, a hefty helping of moisture. These sheers bloom on contact to bring out your lips’ natural tone. The colour is different for everyone.”

Here’s how the color looks on me. This is subtle yet noticeable. And so wearable it suits almost every day-time occasions!

2. Moisturizing

The baby tint lip balm was moisturizing enough for my dry lips and prevents them from chapping. It’s definitely more moisturizing than many lip products out there although I have to say that my holygrail lip gloss – Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss still wins hands down.

I often alternate between the two and that explains why these two are my stable lip products of the moment. One gives colour, and the other is good for on-the-road touch-up, gloss-shine and protection.

3. Long-Lasting

I swatched the lip color on my hand this morning. Till now (evening), it’s still visible despite me having gone through a few rounds of dish-washing. I’m impressed but I have to say when it’s on the lips and when it touches food (and oil), the color would last as long as most lipstick in the market (i.e. not smudge proof).

4. Good for Sensitive Lips

If you have noticed, the lip products I’ve been reviewing are mostly from Clinique. I do use other brands too, but Clinique has been proven reliable and safe for my sensitive dry lips.  My lips are happy with Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm.

Recommendation

Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm comes in four colors. The 2.4g tube is selling for S$26 in Singapore. Over at amazon, you can get it at a slightly lower price

If you visit the Clinique counter, let them test it on your lips. Remember to let the color sit on for 3-5 minutes and observe how the color ‘bloom’ on you. I highly recommend this to anyone who are looking for a moisturizing lip product that gives a natural dose of color and sheen.
