Lancome Bi-Facil eye makeup remover has been around for the longest time! Way back in 2000, when I was a young lass (and way before internet became a ‘necessity’ in life), I’d already heard rave reviews for Lancome Bi-Facil.
It was then considered a really unique and innovative product. As far as I can recall, no other products during that era had such half-oil*-half-blue-liquid concoction.
*And if you think the liquid with the lighter density is oil, it’s not! This is an oil-free formula that’s suitable for all skin types, including sensitive eyes.
During then, I would have friends coming to me constantly, urging me to try the Lancome Bi-Facil. “You have to try it. This is fabulous stuff,” they would tell me.
Fast forward more than a decade later, this product is still around, with minimal changes to its presentation and branding. Now, what does it say about a product that lasts this long in the highly-competitive beauty market? It definitely gives credence to the efficacy and popularity of the product.
3 Reasons why you have to try Lancome Bi-Facil
1. Removes stubborn waterproof mascara in a breeze
One cotton pad is enough for me to remove the most stubborn and waterproof mascara…for both eyes. A little goes a long way.
2. No stinging if product gets into the eye
Even if this gets into your eye, you will be fine. No blurred vision. No sting. Perfect!
3. It is oil-free and suitable for sensitive eyes
To be honest, I only discovered that this is an oil-free product yesterday, while working on this piece of review. Amazing! Oil-free and yet so effective in removing stubborn makeup. Wow!
Recommendation
Will I get it again? I might, if I feel rich. The reason why this is not on my Super Holy Grail list, is because of the influx of copycat look-alike products over the last decade. Products such as Maybelline’s Eye & Lip Makeup Remover and Loreal’s Gentle Lip & Eye Makeup remover both do a decent job.
Did you know that all these brands are from the same family, and they are under the Loreal group? Sometimes, I wonder why the group allowed other drug-store brands within the family to cannibalize Lancome. It somehow robbed Lancome of its exclusivity. Maybe they want to reach the masses. No matter what, this is good for consumers as we now have more choices. Rating: 5/5
Bottom Line
Get Lancome Bi-Facil if it’s within your budget and you love using a premium brand. This product works really well!
