There are so many mascara products out there in the market claiming to be smudge-proof. But how many really live up to their claims?
During a recent trip to Japan, I ‘accidentally’ purchased a mascara that was so durable and long-wearing that I went back to get two additional tubes. Let me introduce to you my new Holy Grail Smudge-proof Mascara – Integrate Real Glamour Volume Mascara.
This mascara accompanied me through all sorts of cool and exciting itineraries such as hiking, sleeping (road trip), full-day shopping and trekking on vegetation and snow terrain, while I was in Japan. Never once did it smudge! Not even once unlike many other brands which have failed miserably when pit against my oily-combination skin.

Lady Luck could have been by my side, for I did not understand a single description of the item that I was about to purchase. The packaging was full of Japanese characters.
Alright, maybe a few illustrations had helped, but that never prepared me for a 100% smudge-proof formula. It was a blind purchase that had turned out to be one of the best buys in Japan.
6 Reasons for Loving Integrate Volume Mascara
1. Smudge-proof
This is the main reason why I fell in love with Integrate Real Glamour Volume Mascara. It’s my go-to mascara whenever I expect a long day ahead of me. Do however note that smudge-proof is not the same as water-proof. This mascara is resistant against oil, but not to water since it’s not a waterproof mascara.
2. Affordable
It may not be apparent. But once you land in Japan, you’ll discover that many brands in the market fall under the Shiseido’s umbrella (just like how Maybelline, Lancome and Loreal come under the Loreal Group).
Integrate is one of them, offering a low-price cosmetic range that is commonly found in drug-store (or pharmacy). As such, Integrate Real Glamour Volume Mascara costs only SGD16 (or USD13), inclusive of taxes. Unfortunately, it is not available in Singapore.

3. Clump-free formula
It’s non-clumping formula ensures that each of the lashes is well-defined and coated separately.
4. Easy Application
Its wand is specially designed so that it works well with the curve of the face. This allows for easy application, allowing you to reach difficult corners or the really short lashes.
5. Natural-looking
Though Integrate Real Glamour Volume Mascara is being marketed as a ‘volume’ mascara, I find it to be very natural-looking. Not too heavy, not over-the-top. It is well-suited for casual occasions, including (ahem) hiking or trekking.
6. Easy to Remove
Integrate Real Glamour Volume Mascara is very easy to clean off, even with drug-store eye makeup remover such as L’Oreal Eye Makeup Remover.
Recommendation
