Integrate Super Keep Liquid Eyeliner just replaced my long-time fave – sorry, Clio!

Another great Japanese makeup to share with all – it’s Integrate Super Keep Liquid Eyeliner. This haul that I got from Fukuoka matches up to Clio Superproof Brush Eyeliner, which I love. In fact, they looked quite similar too, in design and all.

So what’s great about Integrate Super Keep Liquid Eyeliner? Before that, let’s understand more about this brand from Japan.

More about Integrate Super Keep Liquid Eyeliner

Integrate is a brand under the Shiseido umbrella. I’ve tried quite a few products from this brand, and found them to be quite good.

You can often find Integrate at drugstores, department stores as well as Don Quijote. I’ve shared more background about the brand in earlier posts (like this one), so I won’t be elaborating here. Just remember not to get mixed up with Integrate Gracy, another brand under the Shiseido group.

What Integrate Super Keep Liquid Eyeliner Promises

Integrate offers three types of eyeliners – from liquid to pencil. The one we are reviewing is, as the name suggests, a liquid eyeliner. It comes in two shades – black and brown (see official website here).

Note: The photo below doesn’t do it justice as I’ve used it for over six months – so it doesn’t look as pristine.

Integrate Super keep Liquid Eyeliner promises the following:

  1. Smudge-resistant
  2. Draw delicate and clear lines
  3. Flexible and easy to apply
  4. Easy to remove

Can Integrate Eyeliner meet the above promises? Let’s find out.

What’s great about Integrate Super Keep Liquid Eyeliner?

1. Yes, it’s really easy to apply!

I’d stopped using liquid eyeliner for many years as I found it more difficult to apply than a pencil eyeliner. Clio Brush Liner was what got me started again as it was easy to apply.

Flexible tip giving full control over application

I’m happy to share that Integrate Super Keep Eyeliner is equally good. The tip is firm yet flexible, giving you control and allowing you to draw a nice, even line easily. This flexibility also allows you to taper the tail into a finer line.

The thickness is also perfect for me (unlike Dasique eyeliner which I felt was too thin).

It has the right thickness, and the flexibility allows me to taper into a thinner line towards the end.

2. Natural-looking finish

I love the soft-matte finish of the lines drawn. It’s so natural-looking.

The brown is also a good shade that helps to enlarge the eyes without them looking harsh (unlike Dasique’s brown eyeliner that looked almost like black and has an unnatural sheen finish).

Of course, don’t expect this to be as natural-looking as a pencil eyeliner. It’s like comparing apple to orange. :)

3. Integrate Liquid Eyeliner is long-lasting

The brand stays true to its promise and is smudge-proof. In fact, I did a test and tried rubbing the liner off my arm, and it wouldn’t budge. No wonder Integrate Liquid Eyeliner could last the entire day.

4. Easy to remove?

One of Integrate’s claims is that this eyeliner comes off easily with regular cleansing. Given how smudge-proof it is, I was curious to put this to the test – like NOW. :)

I tried removing it with a basic foaming cleanser and a bit of water. It took a few swipes, but it did come off – not as effortlessly as with a proper makeup remover, but still doable. That said, the eyeliner didn’t budge when I used a cream cleanser.

In either case, this “easy to remove” claim isn’t super important to me, since I always use a gentle eye makeup remover that takes off everything (including mascara) without any stinging.

5. It’s cheaper than my go-to eyeliner

I’ve shared about how Integrate Liquid Eyeliner compares well against my all-time fave – Clio Superproof Brush Liner. Honestly, I couldn’t tell any difference actually.

So it’s good to know that I can now get an equally good liner at a much lower price – Y950 (tax-free) which is less than S$9. For info, Clio retails at S$27 in Singapore as at time of writing.

What’s not great about Integrate Liquid Eyeliner?

Hmm…I really can’t find anything to fault with the Integrate Liquid Eyeliner. This is not unexpected given how it has overtaken the top spot for liquid eyeliner (previously Clio).

Ok, if I have to nitpick, it’s that you can’t get this in Singapore. So accessibility is a bit of an issue. Seems like I need to revisit Japan soon or wait for Clio to go on sales! :)

Who would love Integrate Liquid Eyeliner?

If you have often struggled with liquid eyeliners, do consider giving Integrate Super Keep Eyeliner a try. Not only is it easy to use, the effect is natural-looking and it lasts the whole day!

And not to forget, it’s very affordable. Rating: 5/5.
