Curel Deep Moisture Spray was one of the products I used in an attempt to repair my skin barrier. Other products I’ve used alongside this moisture spray include:

What does Curel Deep Moisture Spray do?

I primarily use Curel Deep Moisture Spray as a toner – one that I use before my serum and/or moisturiser.

Officially, this spray can be used anytime – before or after mosturiser, and even over makeup – to instantly refresh and hydrate dry, sensitive skin.

Is it for the face or body?

Curel Deep Moisture Spray is marketed as one for both the face and body. That is probably why it’s available in a rather large size (150ml), as well as a smaller “on-the-go” bottle (57ml).

What are the benefits?

Formulated with ceramides, Curel Deep Moisture Spray is said to:

  • Sooth and nourish sensitive skin
  • Instantly boost hydration by 180%
  • Offer 24 hour hydration

Now, let me share my experience using this Japan-made spray, and the six things I love it.

6 reasons for loving Curel Deep Moisture Spray

1. Ultra-fine mist that actually works

I’d never had much luck with facial mists or sprays. Most either felt ineffective or left annoying drips that made application messy.

That’s why I was genuinely surprised that I stuck with the Curel Deep Moisture Spray from the very first try.

The difference? The spray quality is excellent. It delivers an ultra-fine, even mist that distributes seamlessly across my face with just one spritz – no dripping and no mess.

Another bonus is its wide coverage. If you’re using it on the body, it makes it easy to reach larger or trickier areas like your back.

2. So convenient to use

I’ve never been consistent with toners – they felt like an extra step and I can’t really tell why I needed to use one. But the Curel Deep Moisture Spray changed that for me.

It’s so convenient – one quick spritz and my face is evenly covered. All I need to do is to pat it in – no cotton pads, no fuss. Most importantly, there is now a genuine reason for using an extra product (read on).

3. Good ingredients that truly hydrate

Toners aren’t usually marketed as “moisturising”. In fact, some even contain alcohol.

That’s what makes the Curel Deep Moisture Spray stand out. It’s packed with hydrating ingredients including ceramide, eucalyptus extract and glycerin.

My skin feels instantly nourished and protected from dryness even without adding on moisturiser. And when I do, I believe the multi-layers of moisturising products boosted overall hydration and helped my skin heal faster.

4. Lightweight, comfortable finish

The finish is lightweight and non-greasy. It feels like a hydrating toner, with just a slight tackiness.

5. It’s gentle!

Curel is a brand that focuses on creating products suitable for sensitive skin. This spray is:

  • Free from alcohol, fragrance and colorant
  • pH balanced
  • Dermatologically tested
  • Suitable for dry, sensitive, eczema-prone skin

This makes it a reassuring choice if your skin is easily irritated or going through a compromised phase.

6. Use it anytime, anywhere

Not many moisturisers can be applied over makeup, but you can with Curel Deep Moisture Spray. A quick spritz delivers a light layer of hydration without disturbing your makeup.

It’s especially handy when you’re out and about, or in air-conditioned environments where your skin tends to dry out quickly.

Anything bad about Curel Moisture Spray?

I usually include a “cons” section to keep my review balanced. But with the Curel Spray, it felt like a stretch to find real drawbacks.

If I had to point out one thing, it would be the price. At close to S$30, it’s not exactly the cheapest option for a drugstore product. But I think the price is fair when you compare it with other dermatology-focused brands, such as Cetaphil, QV and Cerave.

Recommendation: Should you buy Curel Deep Moisture Spray?

Do you constantly experience dry and tight skin? Are you seeking a ceramide-infused skincare that’s quick and easy to apply – whether under or over makeup? If the answer is yes, then Curel Deep Moisture Spray is definitely worth considering.

As I approach my 50s, my skin has become significantly drier. I’m glad to have found a small lineup that works – and this spray is one of them. It’s simple, effective, and something I’ve been able to stick with consistently. Rating: 5/5
