I’ve consistently used Judydoll Dual Color Gel Eyeliner for 14 days straight while travelling in Liaoning, China. Is this China-made eyeliner worth a try?
I actually enjoyed using it and was even thinking of repurchasing it. But while putting this review together, I discovered a few things that made me pause and question whether the Judydoll Gel Eyeliner is truly worth buying again.
Read on as I share the pros and cons of this slim and affordable eyeliner.
About Judydoll Dual Color Gel Eyeliner
This is the second Judydoll product reviewed on myBeautyCravings (a lot more coming up soon). Judydoll Dual Color Gel Eyeliner offers two colours in a single pencil.
One is a dark brown, while the other is a pink shade which you can use to line the undereye areas or create the “charming fat” undereye effect.

Colour-wise, you can choose among three pairs of shades. The one I’m using and reviewing is #03 Sakura Grey Brown.
What can Judydoll Gel Eyeliner achieve?
Judydoll said this 3-in-1 gel eyeliner can:
- Line the upper lash line (darker shade)
- Line the lower lash line (lighter shade)
- Create aegyo-sal or “charming fat” effect
Judydoll also promises 12-hour long wear and claims that the waterproof, sweat-resistant and smudge-resistant makeup will stay put the entire day.
Is it true?
What’s good about Judydoll Gel Eyeliner?
1. Fine tips, yet still natural-looking
I was initially worried that the fine pencil tips would create unnaturally sharp lines. Or that it would be troublesome to build a thicker line, which I lean towards. Turns out, my worries were unfounded.
Judydoll Dual-ended Eyeliner could easily create natural-looking lines – be it thin or thick. For thicker lines, I just needed a few more strokes. And that was easy enough because the pencil glided smoothly over my skin.
Best of all, creating a winged tip was super easy!
2. As smooth as butter
Yes, I’m repeating myself here, but the pencil really does glide over the skin like butter. It’s that smooth!
I didn’t have to tug or press hard, which made drawing both the upper and lower lash lines quick and effortless.
3. Suitable for undereye lining
Despite its fine tip, it was easy to line the undereye area without it looking too fine or artificial. I typically draw thick, dark lines on the outer corners of my undereye to create a doe-eye effect.
You can also use the light pink shade on the other end to line the entire undereye area. Personally, though, I’m not a fan of that pink undereye look.
4. Pencil doubles up to create “charming undereye fats”
The pink shade isn’t just for lining the undereye. You can also use it to create Aegyo-sal (卧蚕) — the little puffiness beneath the eyes that is often associated with a youthful, cute look.
What’s not great?
1. Pencil tip broke a few times
The pencil tip broke quite a few times. Luckily, I only twisted out a few mm each time, so the damage was small and hence this is not a deal breaker for me.
2. Colour faded by end of day
When buying eyeliners, I always do a quick rub test on the back of my hand to ensure they can’t be rubbed off easily. But on actual skin prepped with rich moisturiser and all, it is not unusual for gel liners to smudge or fade.
Similar to many gel eyeliners I’ve used, the Judydoll liner line faded after a day’s outing. Personally, I wasn’t bothered as the softer line gave me a more natural look.
However, if Judydoll claims that the eyeliner can stay put all day, my experience didn’t quite match that claim.
3. Less preferred for “Undereye Fat” makeup
As compared with Judydoll Undereye Shadow Palette, this dual color eyeliner created a more distinct line that required effort to blend. Also, it only provides half the solution – you will still need a light-pink eyeshadow to create the “puffy look”.

Should you buy Judydoll Dual Color Gel Eyeliner?
To be honest, I was happy using it despite the cons mentioned. I was impressed with how easy it was to create winged tips and how smoothly the pencil glided over my delicate eye areas.
But I have not been using much of the pink shade because I prefer creating the “charming fat” using the other powder formula.
Hence, I may go on to buy gel eyeliners from Judydoll, perhaps just not a dual colour one. Rating: 4/5
